GENERAL ADVICE FOR BEGINNERS

Beginners should avoid busy times at the skateparks

 

Always use suitable equipment, bought from a specialist supplier

 

Poor equipment can be dangerous. Toy skateboards, plastic scooters, 3-wheeled scooters and road bikes are not safe for use at a skatepark

 

A reasonable quality, entry-level skateboard is likely to cost £50-£70. Seek specialist advice, if needed, before purchasing (see our deck sizing guide below)

 

Flat, rubber-soled secure footwear is essential
